Batticaloa intensifies battle against COVID-19 spread
Batticaloa Mayor Thiagaraja Saravanapavan has decided to increase the number of sales points to prevent the people from gathering at markets and shops in Batticaloa.
A meeting was held in this regard at the Municipal Auditorium yesterday (27).
It was decided that the Batticaloa MOH along with the Divisional Secretariat and the Police to take measures to prevent COVID-19. Markets and shops have been kept open yesterday and the number of devotees at temples has been limited.
Batticaloa HQI C.I.Hetiyarachchi and municipality health officials were present.
