Man heading home after quarantine found dead in Puttalam

A man who had completed the mandatory quarantine process yesterday was found dead in Puttalam today, Mawbima Newspaper reported.

The body of the man, who was reportedly heading home from the quarantine centre, was found by the side of the road early this morning.

The cause of death is yet to be ascertained.

Health authorities are set to conduct PCR tests on the deceased to confirm if he has contracted the coronavirus.

Puttalam Police said that the deceased is a 54 year old hotel worker. (NewsWire)
