Panadura Hospital ICU closed after Covid patient identified

The ICU of Panadura hospital has been temporarily closed after a Covid-19 patient was identified.

The patient who was a daughter of a nurse in the hospital had been admitted with fever on the 4th.

She was tested positive for COVID-19 after a PCR test was conducted yesterday.

15 including hospital nurses and doctors will undergo qurantine according to the Hospital Director.

Hospital authorities suspect that the girl might have contracted the virus from one of her friend who lives in Gampaha. (NewsWire)
