Covid19SL : 9 updates on the current situation

• 5,333 PCR tests were done in Sri Lanka yesterday (09). Results of these tests are expected today and tomorrow.

• Over 10,000 people are undergoing quarantine across 89 centers, the Sri Lanka Army said.

• 130 Police officers in the Western Province have been directed to Quarantine.

• 97 persons arrested so far for violating Police curfew and 27 vehicles taken into custody.

• Pharmacies, Super Markets & Sathosa outlets to remain open between 8am and 8pm in Curfew areas.
• Foreign Ministry has decided to suspend all services offered by the Consular Affairs Division of the Ministry until further notice.

• The head office and regional offices of the Department of Immigration and Emigration to remain closed till Friday the 16th of October.

• 45 arrivals from Qatar expected today. They will qurantine in Army monitored qurantine center.

• 35 Covid-19 patients identified yesterday including 2 Indian nationals
