Fisherman tests positive for Covid, Dikkowita Fisheries Harbour closed

Health authorities have taken steps to close the Dikowita Fisheries Harbour over COVID-19 scare.

Decision was taken following a fisherman who went to sea from the harbour on the 8th tested positive for COVID-19.

The 28 year old patient is a resident of Marawila.

He had developed fever symptoms when he was in the boat along with 5 other fisherman.

He was admitted to Ragama hospital and today it was identified that he is a Covid19 positive patient. (NewsWire)
