17- year-old school boy detected with COVID-19 in Chilaw

A 17- year-old school boy has been detected with COVID-19 in Chilaw.

The Chillaw Police said the boy has been identified as a resident of Arachchikattuwa and was set to sit for the GCE Advanced Level Examination 2020.

The source of his transmission is yet to be ascertained, they said.

The boy is said to have attended a number of tuition classes in Gampaha.

The Chilaw Police said the patient has been admitted to the Chilaw General Hospital.
His family members, neighbours and those who had come into contact with him have been placed in quarantine. (NewsWire)
