More COVID tests in Galle
The Galle District COVID-19 Information Coordinating Committee held its meeting yesterday and decided to conduct PCR and Rapid Antigen tests on randomly selected families in 16 Grama Niladhari Divisions in Galle in two weeks, Southern Province Chief Secretary R.C. de Zoysa said.
Between 200 and 500 Rapid Antigen and PCR tests will be carried out per day, the Provincial Chief Secretary said.
Grama Niladharis, Development Officers, Samurdhi Development Officers and Agricultural Research Production Assistants will make the public aware of the procedure at the Grama Niladhari Division levels.
The tests will be conducted in the Milladuwa, Thalapitiya, Katugoda, Kaluwella, Deddugoda South, Deddugoda North, Dangedara East, Makuluwa, Kongaha Welipitimodara, Maha Hapugala and Navinna Nugaduwa Grama Niladhari Divisions.
The meeting was held at the Governor's Secretariat under the patronage of Southern Province Governor Dr. Wili Gamage.
