Three COVID-19 deaths in Batticaloa
Three COVID-19 deaths and 114 positive cases have been identified in the Batticaloa district within the last 24 hours, Health authorities said yesterday (05). Fifty seven COVID-19 persons were recorded from Kattankudy, 31 from Batticaloa, 12 from Vakarai, six from Eravur, two from Oddamavadi, two from Koralai Pattu Central and one from Chenkalady and Kiran each. The COVID-19 deceased are from Koralai Pattu Central, Kattankudy and Eravur.
Meanwhile, COVID-19 positive cases were reported from the Kattankudy post office which has been closed until further notice. Three more positive cases were identified in the area following the conducting of PCR and Rapid Antigen Tests.
