India Reports Over 45K Coronavirus Cases, 817 Deaths In Last 24 Hrs

Recovery Rate has now improved to 97.18%. </span></p> <p><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">The weekly positivity rate remains below 5% and is currently at 2.37%. The daily positivity rate is at 2.42%, less than 3% for 17 consecutive days. </span></p> <p><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">Testing capacity has been ramped up and 42.52cr tests total has been conducted till now.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">With the addition of 648 new cases of coronavirus, the infection count in Maharashtra's Thane district has gone up to 5,35,916, an official said on Thursday. Besides these new cases reported on Wednesday, 11 more people also succumbed to the viral infection, raising the death toll in the district to 10,777, he said.<br /><br />The COVID-19 mortality rate in the district stood at 2.01 per cent, he added. Details of recovered and under-treatment patients were not provided by the district administration.<br /><br />In neighbouring Palghar district, the COVID-19 case count has gone up to 1,17,726, while the death toll has reached 2,618, another official said.</span></p>
