Engineering undergrads launched ‘Quarantine Care’ App

Undergraduates of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Sri Jayewardenepura launched a “Quarantine Care” app to be used in self-quarantine for COVID-19 patients.

The App can record patient profiles and frequently update health status securely in their phones (this data is not uploaded to the internet and kept securely in the phone). It has the option to share the patient's profile and health data history with a doctor or any other person. The App provides General Health Care tips and emergency contact numbers.

The App also provides important contact details (PHI, emergency contact numbers among others) and live COVID-19 status. The App will soon be available in the Google Play Store.

"This App, still in a ‘beta version’, is no means is a replacement for professional medical care. However, the University can collaborate with any reputed interested party to develop this App towards a comprehensive healthcare platform to battle the COVID-19 pandemic. All the contact information and stats are obtained through official sources.
