60% In Rural Areas Unaware Of Covid-19 Vaccination Registration Process: Survey

<p style="text-align: justify;">Days after the Supreme Court questioned the Centre regarding the digital divide in India which will hamper the covid-19 vaccination drive, a survey tells that 63% of people in rural areas and 43% in small towns have no idea about the vaccination registration process.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The same survey reveals that 60% of rural residents and 40% of people in small towns don't even know how to register themselves for the Covid-19 vaccination drive through the government portal - CoWIN.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">According to Boston Consulting Group's COVID-19 Consumer Sentiment Survey, 78% of Indians in large cities were willing to get vaccinated and 74% of people in smaller cities responded positively when asked if they would be willing to get vaccinated.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">While only 39% of the people in rural areas were ready to get vaccinated in March, 63% have now agreed to take the vaccine. During the survey, most people agreed to get vaccinated. However, some people have also given negative feedback about the vaccine.</p>
