CSK's Michael Hussey To Remain In India After Testing COVID-19 Positive For Second Time

<p>Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batting coach Michael Hussey's hopes of returning to Australia suffered a major setback after he tested Covid-19 positive for the second time. Former Australian batsman Hussey was probably infected during his stay in New Delhi. As per The Australian, result of Hussey's second Coronavirus test was negative, but in the third round of testing, he tested positive once again. Now, the veteran will undergo another Covid-19 test on Thursday.</p> <p>Hussey is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chennai. New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman Tim Seifert is also being treated at the same hospital. I&rsquo;m hugely appreciative of what CSK have already done and are doing for me,&rdquo; Hussey told Sydney Morning Herald recently.</p> <p>&ldquo;It&rsquo;s horrific what&rsquo;s taking place in India at the moment with the pandemic and I&rsquo;ve been blessed with the great support I have received. I&rsquo;m grateful for all the messages of support from cricket fans in India and Australia,&rdquo; he added.</p> <p>IPL 2021 was being conducted behind closed doors amidst the second wave of Coronavirus. Players and support staff members were being kept in a bio-bubble to prevent them from getting caught by the infection. But after the virus entered the bubble and several players and support staff were found to be infected, the BCCI and IPL Governing Council postponed the tournament in view of the players' safety.&nbsp;</p>
