WATCH : Using Drone Technology to sprinkle seeds from the air in Hambantota

For the first time in Sri Lanka, a group of native young Engineers has sprinkled seeds from the air using drone technology.

This seed sprinkling effort was made in a farmland belonging to the Youth Training Centre in Hambantota, Eraminiyaya.

The specialty here is that locally manufactured drones and robotic technology were used for this purpose. Chairman of the National Youth Services Council Theshara Jayasinghe stated that such efforts make way for a new path in traditional agriculture.
