CCTV/Pictures : Two children injured and their parents killed in motor accident

Two children were injured and their parents were killed in a motor accident on the Yakkala – Kiridiwela Road.

The Police said the car in which the family was travelling had collided on to a lamp post opposite the Yakkala fair last night.

Another individual who had driven the vehicle at the time of the accident was also injured in the incident.

The injured children, aged 13 and 20, have been admitted to the Gampaha hospital, while the driver has been transferred to the Colombo National Hospital.

The deceased couple, have been identified as a 43 year old man and 40 year old woman, both residents of Kinigama, Yakkala. (Newswire)
