Public Transport only for Govt & Private sector essential service workers

Normal passengers and commuters are NOT allowed to travel in buses and trains for two more weeks.

According to a statement issued by Transport Ministry only Government and private sector employees essential service employees will be allowed to travel in public transport.

Decision has been taken after DG Health Services Dr Anil Jasinghe informed Transport Minister not to facilitate normal public transport for at least another 2 weeks due to safety issues
