High Court dismisses Colombo magistrate’s decision to grant bail to Rajitha

Colombo Chief Magistrate’s bail order on Former Minister Rajitha Senaratna(white van press conference case) given on 30th December quashed by Colombo High Court.

Former Health Minister was arrested last December and remanded but he continued to receive treatment at the Lanka hospital.

On December 30, Colombo Magistrate’s Court ordered to release Senaratne on bail.

However, the Attorney General filed a revision application on January 08 challenging the decision of the Magistrate Court to grant bail.

Former Minister will now be arrested and remanded over the case, AGs Coordinator said.
