Okara establishes anti-coronavirus facilitation desk at district’s entry, exit points

An anti-coronavirus facilitation desk has been set up at all entry and exit points in Okara as a safety measure against the deadly virus.

Police, paramedical staff and doctors have been stationed at the desks, according to the district’s assistant commissioner. “The desks have been set up on the orders of Okara Deputy Commissioner Usman Ali,” she said.

Everyone entering and leaving the district is being screened for COVID-19. Their temperatures are taken and if anyone shows symptoms of the virus, they are immediately transferred to a hospital.

The development came after coronavirus cases in the country spiked. So far, Pakistan has reported 52,013 cases and 1,087 fatalities.
