What's going on today:
- Vaccine mandates may be coming for international travelers, White House official says. The US may require all foreign visitors to be fully vaccinated, a White House official told Reuters. Just last week, the White House said most travel restrictions would remain in place due to a surge in COVID-19 cases led by the Delta variant.
- DeSantis' blow up at Biden. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis snapped at Biden for criticizing his handling of COVID-19: 'Why don't you do your job?' Biden told governors to "get out of the way" if they aren't helping with COVID-19, prompting DeSantis to criticize Biden's handling of the border.
- Mexican government sues to keep US guns out of Mexico. Mexico is suing US gun makers, arguing that millions of American guns have illegally flowed across the border and fueled homicide rates. A study conducted by the Mexican government found more than 2.5 million guns have illegally entered the country from the US over the past decade.
- Singapore's richest road isn't all it's cracked up to be. I walked down Singapore's most exclusive street and found it was a strange mix of mansions, embassies, and empty estates. Nassim Road has some of the most coveted real estate in Singapore, yet some of the mansions sit empty and in disrepair.
- My large elephant children make their way home. China is trying to get a herd of roaming elephants home, but it's going to take months. Here's how they're doing it. On the road for more than a year, China's roaming elephants are finally going home, with the aid of some 40 forestry firefighters and experts. Be safe, boys and girls.
- That's all for now. See you tomorrow.
