Covid Update: After Recording Massive Dip, India Registers 35K Coronavirus Cases In Last 24 Hrs

<p><strong>Corona Update:&nbsp;</strong> <span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">India reports 35,178 new Covid 19 </span><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">cases, 37,169 recoveries, and 440 deaths in the last 24 hrs, as per Health Ministry. The recovery rate is currently at 97.52% which is the highest since March 2020.</span></p> <p>The weekly positivity rate is currently at 1.95%; less than 3% for the last 54 days. The daily positivity rate at 1.96%; less than 3% for the last 23 days.</p> <p><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0"> Total cases: 3,22,85,857 </span></p> <p><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">Total recoveries: 3,14,85,923 </span></p> <p><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">Active cases: 3,67,415 </span></p> <p><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">Death toll: 4,32,519 </span></p> <p><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">Total vaccinated: 56,06,52,030 (55,05,075 in last 24 hrs)</span></p> <h3><strong>Kerala again witnesses surge in cases</strong></h3> <p>Kerala on Tuesday logged 21,613 new COVID-19 cases pushing the infection count to 37,03,578, as the number of people succumbing to the disease rose to 18,870 with 127 additional deaths.</p> <p>As many as 18,556 people have been cured of the infection since Monday, taking the total recoveries to 35,29,465 and the number of active cases to 1,75,167, a state government release said.</p> <p>In the last 24 hours, 1,39,623 samples were tested and the TPR was found to be 15.48 per cent. So far, 2,96,85,152 samples have been tested, it said.</p> <p>Among districts, Malappuram recorded 3,193 coronavirus cases followed by Ernakulam (2,643), Thrissur (2,470), Kozhikode (2,322), Palakkad (2,134), Kollam (1,692), Kannur (1,306), Alappuzha (1,177), Kottayam (1,155) and Thiruvananthapuram (1,155).</p> <h3><strong>Maharashtra breaches 6.4 million mark of Covid cases</strong></h3> <p>With 4,408 fresh infections, Maharashtra crossed the 6.4 million mark of Covid-19 cases on Tuesday. The state&rsquo;s tally stood at 6,401,213. The tally of active cases also reduced to 61,306 as 5,424 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours.</p> <p>The state saw 116 casualties. Sangli reported the highest toll with 36 deaths. Of them, 29 were found in the district and the rest in the city. It was followed by Satara with 30 fatalities.</p>
