PM Modi Hails Researchers And Scientists For Finding Covid Vaccine
<p><strong>New Delhi:</strong> Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Society on Friday via video conferencing. PM Modi hailed the scientists for successfully developing the Covid vaccine and working relentlessly to find the cure for Covid.</p> <p>PM Modi said that the country has a lot of expectations from the scientists as they have a powerful ecosystem to solve the country's problem and fulfill the dreams of the nation.</p> <p><a href="https://ift.tt/3vPUDY5 style="color: #e03e2d;">Also Read|3000 Madhya Pradesh Doctors Resign After HC Terms Strike 'Illegal', Demands Include Free Covid Treatment</span></strong></a></p> <p>PM Modi also said that there are times when CSIR brings such a huge breakthrough in technology that the entire country can't stop itself from beaming with pride.</p> <p>PM Modi said, "This institution of ours has given so many talents and scientists to the country. A great scientist like Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar has given leadership to this institution."</p> <p>The Prime Minister futher said, "Today's India, from agriculture to astronomy, from disaster management to defence technology, from biotechnology to battery technologies, from vaccines to virtual reality, wants to be self-reliant and empowered in every direction."</p> <p>PM Modi said that because of the research and findings India is one the most prominent engines of global development.</p> <p>"Today India is showing the way to the world in the field of sustainable development and clean energy. Today, from software to satellites, we are also accelerating the development of other countries, playing the role of a major engine in the development of the world", PM Modi said.</p> <p>The CSIR Society is part of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research under the Ministry of Science and Technology.</p> <div id="InRead">Its activities are carried out through 37 laboratories and 39 outreach centres spread across India, the PMO noted, adding that eminent scientists, industrialists, and senior officials form part of the society, which meets annually.</div>
