Covid-19 Positive Milkha Singh Admitted To ICU Due To Dipping Levels Of Oxygen

<p>Three days after recovering from the dreaded Coronavirus, the health of 'Flying Sikh' Milkha Singh suddenly deteriorated on Thursday. &nbsp;He has been admitted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a top hospital here due to "dipping levels of oxygen" but he is in "stable" condition.</p> <p>The legendary Indian sprinter has been admitted in ICU in Covid hospital of PGIMER today due to dipping levels of oxygen, a statement issued by Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) said, as per PTI.</p> <p><strong>In Pics |</strong><a href="https://ift.tt/3vSOCK1"> Devon Conway Breaks Legend Ranjitsinhji's 125-Year-Old 'Lord's Record' On Test Debut</a></p> <p>The 91-year-old has been kept under the supervision of doctors and is stable now. Milkha Singh was discharged from the hospital three days ago, on May 31.</p> <p>On May 20, he had tested Covid-19 positive, after which he was kept in home quarantine for a few days. &nbsp;But after his health deteriorated, he was admitted to a private hospital on May 24, from where he was discharged on May 31. Milkha Singh's 82-year-old wife Nirmal Kauris is also Coronavirus positive and her treatment is still going on.</p> <p>Milkha Singh was born on 20 November 1929 in Punjab, Pakistan. &nbsp;At that time there was no partition of India and Pakistan. &nbsp;After partition, Milkha came to Delhi with his sister.</p> <p>Milkha Singh won many medals in the 200 meters and 400 meters races. He was the first athlete from independent India to win a gold medal at the 1960 Commonwealth Games. In this race, he completed 400 meters in just 46.6 seconds. &nbsp;Milkha Singh finished fourth in the 400m final at the 1960 Rome Olympics.&nbsp;</p>
