Covid-19 Curfews: Here's A List Of Restrictions From Various States During The Weekend
<p><strong>New Delhi: </strong>On Friday, India reported 2,17,353 new COVID19 cases, 1,18,302 discharges and 1,185 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per Union Health Ministry. As per data from the union health ministry, the total number of infections reached 1,42,91,917 including 1,25,47,866 recoveries and 1,74,308 deaths.</p> <p>In a bid to tackle the Covid crisis, different state government have imposed night curfews and lockdowns. </p> <p><strong>ALSO READ: <span style="color: #f80707;"><a style="color: #f80707;" href="https://ift.tt/2RLux9z Actor Vivek Passes Away: Know About The Padma Shri Awardee Who Holds A Special Place In Everybody's Heart</a></span></strong></p> <p><strong>Delhi: </strong>Delhi recorded over 19,000 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The Delhi CM announced that all markets and shopping malls will remain closed.Gyms, spas, and auditorium whereas cinema halls will work at a 30% seating capacity, weekly markets to operate alternate weeks following all covid guidelines. Private offices will be asked to work from home. Curfew passes will be issued to those rendering essential services but these passes will not be needed for medical services or going for vaccination. Dine-in would not be allowed at restaurants, only home deliveries will be permitted, people dealing in food, groceries, fruits, vegetables and dairy products will also have to seek a curfew pass for their movement. Public transportation will function for the movement of people who allowed to work during the curfew time. </p> <p><strong>Haryana: </strong>No weekend lockdown has been imposed in the state, but there is a a night curfew in the state from 10 pm to 5 am. All schools and other educational institutions will remain closed till April 30th. However, commissioners may impose Section 144 for enforcement of ‘Corona Curfew’ and for other restrictions as are required locally.</p> <p><strong>Maharashtra: </strong>Section 144 imposed across Maharashtra as part of stringent curbs during the 15-day strict curfew, with which, all establishments, public places, activities, services, shall remain closed and nobody will visit public places without a valid reason. Essential services like groceries, vegetable shops, fruit vendors, dairies, bakeries, confectioneries, all types of food outlets and public utilities will be open. Public transport will be functioning. Violators will be punished under Section 188 of the IPC in addition to penal provisions under Epidemic Diseases Act, National Disaster Management Act. </p> <p><strong>Gujarat: </strong>Chief Minister Vijay Rupani-led government decided to impose night curfew in 20 cities of the state between 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. According to the order, government offices will remain closed on Saturdays till April 30. Only 100 people would be allowed at weddings, adding grand events have been postponed until April 30. A negative RT-PCR report is mandatory for those arriving in the state. Passengers travelling to Surat will have to download the SMC Covid-19 Tracker app and fill an online self-reporting form.</p> <p><strong>Kerala: </strong>The government has imposed restrictions in the capacity for public events and have also restricted its timings. Shops have to close by 9 pm and doorstep delivery services were urged. These curbs will remain in place till April 30. Not over 200 people will be allowed to attend outdoor functions while 100 people are allowed in events held indoors. Passengers will have to secure an e-pass by registering on the state’s Covid-19 portal before travelling to Kerala. Community gatherings like iftar parties must be avoided according to the order.</p> <p><strong>Odisha:</strong> Night curfew has been imposed from 10 pm to 5 am in Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Bolangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Nawarangpur, Koraput and Malkangiri since April 5th.</p> <p><strong>Jammu & Kashmir: </strong>Night curfew has been imposed in urban areas of eight districts (Jammu, Srinagar, Udhampur, Baramulla, Kathua, Anantnag, Budgam, Kupwara) from 10 pm to 6 am.</p> <p><strong>Chhattisgarh: </strong>Shops selling essential items will be allowed to operate. Bank and post offices will be operational between 10 am and 1 pm. In Sukma, night curfew from 12 pm to 7 am has been imposed. Shops will be allowed to remain open from 7 am to 12 pm. The local administration on Tuesday extended lockdown in Chhattisgarh's Durg till April 19. </p> <p><strong>Rajasthan: </strong>Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot-led Rajasthan government has announced a weekend curfew in the state from 6 pm on April 16 (Friday) till 5 am on April 19 (Monday). During the weekend curfew essential services will be exempted. These include vegetable shops, fruit shops, milk supply, LPG supply and banking services.</p> <p><strong>Punjab: </strong>The Punjab government has imposed a state-wide night curfew from 9 pm to 5 am till April 30th. Chief Minister Amarinder Singh announced ban on all public gatherings and ordered all schools to remain shut.</p> <p>Uttarakhand: Night curfew across the state and curbed the occupancy of people in large gatherings on Thursday</p>
