Covid19 : First Sri Lankan Navy Sailor discharged from the Hospital

The first Sri Lanka Navy Sailor attached to the Welisara Navy camp was discharged from the hospital today after completing recovering from Covid19.

According to Sri Lanka Health Ministry 324 Navy Personnel and their close contacts had contracted the Covid19 Virus as of 10 am today.

80% of the Navy Personnel who contracted the virus had not showed any Covid19 symptoms.

“We hope we can discharge majority of them in the coming days, all of them are fine and no one is serious at the moment.” Senior health official told the NewsWire.

Those who are discharged will have to go through a 14 day self Quarantine process at home.
