UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira will defend his title at UFC 269, facing former interim champion Dustin Poirier. UFC 269 will stream live from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on December 11. You can watch the prelims on ESPN2 and ESPN+ at 8 p.m. ET, while the main card is an exclusive $70 pay-per-view (PPV) event on ESPN+ at 10 p.m. ET.

Oliveira won the lightweight championship with a knockout against Michael Chandler in May, setting a UFC record with his 17th career finish. The lightweight title had been left vacant by Khabib Nurmagomedov, who retired as an undefeated champion after beating Justin Gaethje in October 2020. Poirier has won his last three fights, including two TKO victories against Conor McGregor, another former lightweight champion.

UFC 269 also features a championship match between Amanda Nunes and Julianna Peña. Nunes, the current women's bantamweight and featherweight champion, has won 12 straight fights dating back to 2015. She was scheduled to fight challenger Julianna Peña at UFC 265 in August, but the fight was delayed after Nunes tested positive for COVID-19. Peña defeated former Olympic wrestler Sara McMann in their fight at UFC 257 in January.
