43 Medical Students Test Positive For COVID-19 In Telangana

<p><strong>Chennai: </strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">Around 43 medical students tested positive for novel coronavirus in Chalmeda Anand Rao Institute of Medical Sciences at Bommakal in Telangana a week after the annual day festival was held in their college premises. The preliminary probe by the medical health officials revealed that the students participated in the event without wearing masks.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">According to a report on NDTV, Karimnagar district medical and health officer Dr Juveria said that the Telangana government was not informed about the event and the preliminary investigation has also revealed that many people attended the function without wearing a mask.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><strong>Also Read | </strong><a href="https://ift.tt/3rCbTk2 Throws Acid On Ex-Partner, Attempts To Kill Self In Tamil Nadu</strong></a></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Till now, 200 students have been tested for the virus while the remaining people from the medical college with a strength of over 1,000 people will be made to undergo a test on Monday.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Earlier, in a similar incident, 306 students tested positive for COVID-19 at SDM College of Medical Sciences in Dharwad district of Karnataka after a cultural fest.
