Seventeen Monks from same temple infected with COVID-19
Seventeen Monks of the Thalpe Pulinathalarama Temple in the Habaraduwa M.O.H. Division have been diagnosed with COVID-19, Habaraduwa Medical Officer of Health Dr. Pramoda Siriwardena said.
The Chief Incumbent of the temple had been first tested positive for COVID-19. Subsequently, the associates of the Chief Incumbent had been subjected to PCR tests and 16 Monks were confirmed to be infected with the virus, Dr. Siriwardana said.
The Monks who tested positive were sent to Boossa Corona COVID Treatment Centre.
