The wicketkeeper-batsman has been in home isolation since the past 8 days and won't travel to Durham with the rest of the Indian squad.

Rishabh Pant had recently gone to watch the Euro Cup match. Since then, he complained of pain in the throat. Apart from this, mild symptoms like cold and cough were also noticed, after which he was immediately sent to isolation.

However, Rishabh Pant will have to undergo a corona test before joining the team camp in Durham. Pant will be associated with the team camp only after the covid 19 report comes negative.

According to a report by ANI, another player from the Indian squad had tested positive for the virus but has now returned negative and is doing fine now.

Both the players are fine now and are asymptomatic and there were minor signs of cough and cold when they tested positive.

The BCCI has asked all the players and support staff who came in close contact with the player to isolate themselves for the next three days.
