29-year-old mother gives birth to quintuplets in Colombo

De Soysa Hospital for Women in Colombo today reported the birth of quintuplets.

A 29-year-old mother from Pepiliyawala, Gampaha gave birth to quintuplets (5 girls) in her first pregnancy.

“Babies were delivered today at around 10:30 am.  Dr Probodana Ranaweera, Dr Mohamed Rishard and the team did the elective cesarean section” A hospital spokesman told NewsWire.

The quintuplets and the mother are in good health, the hospital spokesman added. (NewsWire).
