Pakistan Railways to charge passengers violating COVID-19 SOPs Rs500

Passengers traveling by trains will now be fined Rs500 for not following the government’s coronavirus SOPs.

According to the Railways management, it has been noted that passengers have not been following precautionary measures given by the government against the pandemic.

People have not been wearing masks, using sanitiser or following the rules of social distancing. Following this, the management has decided to fine violators.

People who violate the instructions more than once will be fined Rs1,000.

The superintendents at all railway stations have been instructed to strictly monitor passengers and ensure that violators are punished.

Passengers have been asked to bring their own masks, gloves, hand sanitiser and soap with them on trains. The authorities have stopped the entry of unrelated people and installed walk-through gates so that passengers can be disinfected.
