6 From 'At-Risk' Countries Admitted To Lok Nayak Hospital, Samples Sent For Genome Sequencing

<p><strong>New Delhi:</strong> Amid the Omicron variant scare, six people who flew into Delhi from 'at-risk' countries on Wednesday have been admitted to Delhi's Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital. Four passengers tested COVID-19 positive and two showed symptoms.<br /><br />PTI reports, their samples have been sent to the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for genome sequencing to ascertain if they have the new variant.<br /><br />A dedicated ward has been set up in LNJP Hospital for isolating and treating patients who test covid positive flying from 'at-risk' countries.</p> <p>All taken in isolation at LNJP hospital are Indian nationals.</p> <p><strong>READ | <a title="Covid Booster Shots In India? Of these passengers, four have tested positive," a source informed PTI.<br /><br />"Three patients travelled on a flight from Amsterdam that carried 372 people.
