India's Daily Covid Cases Jump To 30,570, Country Registers 431 Deaths In Last 24 Hrs

<p><strong>Corona Update:&nbsp;</strong>After registering less than 30,000 Coronavirus cases for four consecutive days, <span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">India has reported 30,570 new Covid 19 </span><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">cases, 38,303 recoveries and 431 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the Union Health Ministry.</span></p> <p><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0"> Total cases: 3,33,47,325 </span></p> <p><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">Active cases: 3,42,923</span></p> <p><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0"> Total recoveries: 3,25,60,474</span></p> <p><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0"> Death toll: 4,43,928</span></p> <p><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0"> Total vaccination: 76,57,17,137 (64,51,423 in last 24 hours)</span></p> <h3><strong><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">Kerala</span></strong></h3> <p><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">Kerala on Wednesday reported 17,681 fresh COVID-19 cases and 208 deaths, which took the total caseload to 44,24,046 and fatalities to 22,987.<br /><br />The number of people who recovered from the infection since Tuesday was 25,588 which brought the total recoveries to 42,09,746 and the number of active cases to 1,90,750, a state government release said, as per a PTI report.<br /><br />While the release said that 97,070 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, it did not state what the Test Positivity Rate was.<br /><br />However, 17,681 fresh positive cases, reported in the last 24 hours, out of 97,070 samples tested during the same period, gives a figure of more than 18 per cent.<br /><br />Among the 14 districts, Thiruvananthapuram recorded the highest with 2,143 fresh cases followed by Kottayam (1,702), Kozhikode (1,680), Ernakulam (1,645), Thrissur (1,567), Palakkad (1,558), Malappuram (1,372), Kollam (1,348), Alappuzha (969) and Kannur (967), the release said.</span></p> <h3><strong><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">Maharashtra</span></strong></h3> <p><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">Maharashtra on Wednesday reported 3,783 new coronavirus cases and 56 fresh fatalities, taking the infection tally to 65,07,930 and the toll to 1,38,277, a health department official said.<br /><br />The number of daily cases and fatalities witnessed a marginal rise as compared to Tuesday, when the state had reported 3,530 COVID-19 cases and 52 fatalities.<br /><br />The official said 4,364 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the count of recovered cases to 63,17,070 and leaving Maharashtra with 49,034 active cases.<br /><br />The state has 2,87,356 people in-home quarantine and another 1,926 in institutional quarantine, he said.<br /><br />The official said Maharashtra's COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 97.07 per cent, while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.<br /><br />The cumulative number of coronavirus tests conducted in the state climbed to 5,63,61,089 after 1,35,785 samples, the lowest in recent weeks, were examined in the last 24 hours, he said.<br /><br />As many as eight districts - Dhule, Nandurbar, Amravati, Washim, Yavatmal, Wardha, Gondia and Chandrapur (rural areas) and four municipal corporations - Malegaon, Dhule, Jalagaon and Amravati (urban centres) did not report any fresh COVID-19 cases.<br /></span></p>
