Kerala: Woman Doctor Wins Praises For Reciting Islamic Prayers For Dying Covid Patient

<p><strong>Thiruvananthapuram: </strong>It&rsquo;s aptly said &ldquo;humanity is above religion&rdquo;. Her health condition further deteriorated by May 17 as her organs had started to shut down. The doctors then decided to take the patient off ventilator support as there was very little that they could do at that point of point. The female patient&rsquo;s family was also informed about the same.</p> <p>Dr Krishnan, who provided solace to the female patient by reciting Islamic prayers, while sharing her compassionate gesture, said she was at that time thinking not as a doctor but as a human.</p> <p>&ldquo;With none of their relatives around her, I thought I should do something for the patient. Since I was brought up in the UAE, I knew about these prayers and practices. I gently recited this prayer and closed her eyes.
