Bigg Boss Malayalam Set Sealed, Contestants Vacated For Shooting During Lockdown Ban; 8 Workers Tested Covid-19 Positive
<p>The sets of Bigg Boss Malayalam at EVP film city in Chembarambakkam, Chennai, was sealed on Wednesday for flouting Covid rules.</p> <p>The show hosted by superstar Mohanlal continued to shoot despite the lockdown and ban on film and television shoots during the pandemic.</p> <p>According to a report published in The Hindu, the shooting for the show continued despite the Tamil Nadu government imposed a ban on shootings of film and television during the pandemic. The makers of Bigg Boss went ahead with the shooting process even after eight of the workers tested positive for COVID-19.</p> <p><br /><img src="https://ift.tt/3fBBTER" /></p> <p><em>Officials led by Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO), Thiruvallur, Preethi Parkavi, along with the police, vacated all contestants, cameramen, technicians and other staff of the production house. They locked the premises and sealed it as per procedure. “The shooting was going on despite there being a ban. Hence, we vacated them and sealed the premises as per guidelines of the government which prohibited such shooting during the pandemic,"</em> Parkavi told The Hindu.</p> <p>Reportedly, the third season of Malayalam Bigg Boss started with a special set a couple of months back when lockdown was not imposed. The show’s shooting began with 14 contestants. The show continued for the 95th day with seven contestants on Wednesday, when authorities sealed it.</p> <p>A case was booked under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Disaster Management Act for violation of government guidelines.</p>
