Delhi Back In 'Safe Zone' As Positivity Rate Drops Below 5%; City Records 3,009 New Cases In 24 Hrs
<p><strong>New Delhi: </strong>In a major relief amid the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic, the Covid-19 positivity rate in Delhi has fallen below five percent since April 4 as the national capital recorded 3,009 fresh cases and 252 deaths in the past 24 hours with a positivity rate of less than 4.76 percent.</p> <p>The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared the positivity rate below five percent to be within the safe zone.</p> <p><strong>ALSO READ:</strong> <span style="color: #e03e2d;"><strong><a style="color: #e03e2d;" href="https://ift.tt/3u8zZR2" target="_blank" rel="noopener">White Fungus Infection: Symptoms, Contributing Factors & Risk Against Black Fungus; Here's What We Know So Far</a></strong></span></p> <p>The number of daily cases recorded in the past 24 hours in Delhi is also the lowest since April 1. The number of active cases has also dropped below 36,000, the lowest since April 11. Delhi currently has 35,683 active cases.</p> <p>Around 7,288 people recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries in Delhi 13,54,445.</p> <p><br /><img src="https://ift.tt/3f7fFLF" /></p> <p>With 252 deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll now stands at 22,831</p> <p>Meanwhile, the Union Health Ministry has asked all state governments to emulate the best practices shared by various district and field officials to effectively tackle the Covid pandemic.</p> <p>Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has in a letter written to the Health Secretaries of all states suggested them to replicate the innovative practices by customizing them to the local needs.</p>
