'You Will Hit Covid For A SIX': Wasim Akram Wishes Sachin Tendulkar Speedy Recovery

<p><strong>New Delhi:</strong> Days after testing positive for the novel Coronavirus, master blaster Sachin Tendulkar was shifted to a hospital on Friday on medical advice. The legendary cricketer then took to Twitter earlier in the day and said that he hopes to be back home in a few days.</p> <p>"Thank you for your wishes and prayers. As a matter of abundant precaution under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home in a few days. Take care and stay safe everyone. Wishing all Indians &amp; my teammates on the 10th anniversary of our World Cup win," Tendulkar tweeted.</p> <p>[tw]https://twitter.com/sachin_rt/status/1377853111944015873[/tw]</p> <p>Soon after tweeting about being shifted to a hospital, fans and well-wishers of the ace batsman flooded social media with wishes and prayers for his speedy recovery. Several former cricketers, including former Paksitan cricket team captain Wasim Akram also wished Master Blaster.&nbsp;</p> <p>"Even when you were 16, you battled world&rsquo;s best bowlers with guts and aplomb... so I am sure you will hit Covid-19 for a SIX! Recover soon master! Would be great if you celebrate India&rsquo;s World Cup 2011 anniversary with doctors and hospital staff... do send me a pic!" Akram wrote on Twitter.</p> <p>[tw]https://twitter.com/wasimakramlive/status/1377913922682900481[/tw]</p> <p>Last time Akram and Tendulkar came face-to-face in an internation cricket match was at the 2003 World Cup, where India defeated Paksitan. Akram quit international cricket after 2003 while Tendular retired from the game in 2013.&nbsp;</p> <p>Tendulkar was last seen in action in the the Road Safety World Series, soon after which he turned Covid-19 positive. Not just Tendulkar, but S Badrinath, Yusuf Pathan and Irfan Pathan who were part of the tournament also test positive.&nbsp;</p>
