Anupamaa Actress Rupali Ganguly & On-Screen Son Ashish Mehrotra Test Positive For COVID-19

<p>Popular TV actress Rupali Ganguly, who plays the titular role in &lsquo;Anupamaa&rsquo;, has tested positive for COVID-19. The Bengali beauty took to social media to inform the fans that she has contracted the virus. Rupali has quarantined herself after testing positive for Coronavirus. Rupali, who is asymptomatic, posted a long note on her official Instagram handle. She asked her fans to pray for her reel and real life family as they are awaiting the results of their tests.</p> <h3><strong>'Anupamaa' Makers Issue Statement</strong></h3> <p>Rajan Shahi, the producer of &lsquo;Anupamaa&rsquo;, issued a statement after the lead actress of the show was diagnosed with the virus. He revealed that sets of the popular daily soap have been fumigated and sterilized.</p> <p>"Rupali Ganguly, the lead actress in the show Anupamaa, informed me today that she has tested positive for Covid-19. She is asymptomatic and by the grace of God doing well. Rupali is taking all the necessary precautions and is presently in-home quarantine. I wish Rupali a speedy recovery. We at DKP (Directors Kut Productions) are committed to the safety of our cast and crew. I have ensured that all guidelines are followed on the set.&nbsp;The BMC is informed and the sets are fumigated and sterilized as per the protocol,&rdquo; he said.</p> <p>Ashish Mehrotra aka Paritosh had also tested positive for COVID-19. He is expected to resume the shoot after testing negative for the virus. He is currently recovering at his home.</p> <p>&ldquo;Ashish Mehrotra, who plays Paritosh in Anupamaa, too was diagnosed with Covid-19 few days back. Though he was not shooting since a very long time, as soon as the symptoms were detected he received medical help and also quarantined himself. He is already on his road to recovery, and in a few days once he tests negative he will be resuming shoot.&nbsp; I am constantly in touch with Rupali, Aashish and the entire team as their health is our priority. DKP and I stand by our commitment to safety and will continue to ensure that all measures prescribed are being adhered to,&rdquo; the statement further read.</p> <h3><strong>Rupali Ganguly's Instagram Post</strong></h3> <p>The 'Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai' actress revealed that her family members underwent a COVID-19 test after she tested positive. She apologized to the makers for &lsquo;letting them down&rsquo; despite the precautionary measures.</p> <p>"Take care and stay safe everyone and keep showering ur love on my family and Anupamaa family. The show co-starring Sudhanshu Pandey and Madalsa Sharma airs on Star Plus. Paras Kalnawat, who plays the role of Samar in the show, had also tested positive for COVID-19.&nbsp;</p> <h3><strong>Bollywood &amp; TV Stars Who Recently Tested COVID-19 Positive&nbsp;</strong></h3> <p>Several Bollywood and TV celebs including Kartik Aaryan, Manoj Bajpayee, Ranbir Kapoor, Milind Soman, Neil Bhatt have tested positive for Coronavirus. Alia Bhatt shared a post on her Instagram story to inform her fans that she has also contracted the virus.
