Over 1,000 COVID cases in Central Province
The number of COVID-19 cases in the Central Province (CP) has passed 1,000 yesterday.
As of yesterday morning, 1,003 COVID 19 cases have been detected from the CP, according to the Central Provincial Health Services Department.
The highest number of infections in the Central Province is reported from the Kandy District (611) nd 311 cases have been reported from the Nuwara Eliya District and 81 have been reported from the Matale District.
Thirty eight cases have been reported in the province yesterday (15). They include 25 from Kandy, six from Nuwara Eliya and seven from Matale.
The highest number has been reported from the Kandy Municipal Health Division (165).
