Was silver a better bet than gold in 2020?

Gold bedazzled most investors as a safe heaven and they flocked to invest in the yellow metal due to the uncertainty created by the coronavirus pandemic since March. But silver proved to be a better metal to invest in as it gave four times more returns than gold. Gold gave a 34% return if someone had invested in the metal on March 19 till today. But if someone had invested in silver for the same period, that person would have made 134% return on investment.
