Bangladesh’s Nazmul Islam tests positive for coronavirus

Bangladesh cricketer Mohammad Nazmul Islam has been tested positive for coronavirus, the Daily Star has reported.

Like many other international cricketers, Nazmul was taking part in philanthropic activities during the pandemic situation as he distributed relief items to the people in his hometown of Narshingdi.

“I went to Narshingdi to distribute relief materials last week,” the spinner said as quoted by Daily Star. “Since returning from there, I started feeling unwell. I had myself tested for Covid-19 and the test result came positive. I have isolated myself in my room.”

Earlier, Mashrafe Mortaza and former cricketer Nafees Iqbal had also tested positive for the pandemic.
