Covid-19 Tally: 11,850 New Cases Reports In Last 24 Hours. Delhi Records 62 Cases On Friday After 3 Months

<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>New Delhi:</strong> India recorded 11,850 new coronavirus infections in 24 hours even as the total number of active cases declined to 1,36,308, the lowest in 274 days. But according to the ministry, the recovery rate remains high at 98.26 per cent, the highest since March 2020. The number of people who have recovered from the disease has increased to 3,38,26, 483.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Delhi on Friday witnessed another spurt in Covid-19 cases for the month as it reported 62 new infections and two deaths in the last 24 hours. As per the Delhi health bulletin, the active caseload in the national capital now stands at 371 while the positivity rate increased to 0.12 per cent. With two deaths reported on Friday after 20 days of no Covid death, the death toll due to the disease in Delhi now stands at 25,093.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">However, the case fatality rate remains unchanged at 1.74 per cent.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">For 36 straight days, new coronavirus infections have been below 20,000 and less than 50,000 daily new cases have been reported for 139 consecutive days now.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The ministry has also said that the daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.94 per cent which has been less than 2 per cent for the last 40 days. The weekly positivity rate was also recorded at 1.05 per cent. It has been below 2 per cent for the last 50 days, according to the health ministry.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile, as the festivities come to a close, the national capital New Delhi is seeing a spurt in the Covid-19 number and on Friday recorded 62 new infections and 2 deaths in the last 24 hours.
