COVID-19 vaccine boosters shots likely to be recommended by Biden administration after 6 months instead of 8, Wall Street Journal reports
The Biden administration will likely recommend that fully vaccinated adults get COVID-19 booster six months following their second dose of the shot rather than the previously announced eight months, The Wall Street Journal reported.
The decision is based on data from vaccine manufacturers and other countries all operating under a six-month booster shot schedule, a person familiar with these plans told The Journal.
Booster shots for all vaccines offered in the US - Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson - are expected to roll out mid-September, the person said.
