Forty-two Dickoya hospital staffers on quarantine
Forty-two staffers including three doctors of the Dickoya Base Hospital in Hatton have been sent on quarantine after a three-year-old boy admitted to the hospital tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday.
A Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) had been carried out on the boy on admission to the hospital.
Four nurses, three minor staff members, the family of one doctor and another 30 people belonging to nine families in the village of the infected boy are currently undergoing quarantine, Maskeliya Medical Health Officer D. Chandrarajan said.
A private medical centre the boy visited before admission to hospital has also been closed temporarily, he said.
