Details of 309 patients identified yesterday : 110 from Colombo District
Among the 309 coronavirus patients detected yesterday, 188 are associates of patients from the Peliyagoda fish market, the National Operations Centre for the Prevention of COVID-19 (NOCPC) said.
A total of 188 patients were detected from the Peliyagoda fish Market, and from among the group 79 are from Colombo, 53 from Kelaniya, 09 from Wattala, 06 from Kaduwela, 15 from Dematagoda, 07 from Kadawatha, 03 each from Kiribathgoda and Moratuwa, 04 from Kotahena, and 09 patients from Wellampitiya.
The NOCPC said apart from this group, another 31 COVID-19 patients were reported from Colombo. Among them, 07 were from Kotahena, 04 each from Mulleriyawa and Grandpass, and 01 each from Bloemendhal and Dehiwela areas.
Meanwhile, 40 coronavirus patients were detected in the Gampaha district. Eight patients were detected in Gampaha, 02 in Wattala, 01 in Ragama, 14 from Minuwangoda, 05 from Divulapitiya, and 10 from Katunayake.
Nine coronavirus patients were also reported from the Galle district, one from the Matara district, 14 from the Kurunegala district, and 02 from the Anuradhapura district.
The NOCPC said that 24 coronavirus patients were also reported from quarantine centres. (NewsWire)
