Police seal several areas in Hyderabad to prevent COVID-19 spread

The police have sealed several neighbourhoods in Hyderabad to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

No one will be allowed to leave or enter neighbourhoods where smart lockdowns have been imposed, according to local authorities.

All businesses activities will remain suspended and only shops selling necessary items will remain open in these areas from 6am to 2pm.

Police and Rangers personnel will be on patrol for effective implementation of the lockdown.

Several localities in multiple cities across the country have been placed under smart lockdowns amid rising coronavirus cases.

The number of known coronavirus cases in Pakistan has exceeded 165,000. The virus has so far killed 3,229 people in the country.
