Seven hundred twelve defeat COVID 19

The total number of patients recovered from the Coronavirus rose to 712 including 17 patients who recovered today. 

The total number of coronavirus cases in Sri Lanka rose to 1,278 by 7.15 last evening (26). 

A total of 96 new COVID-19 cases were reported yesterday  (26). Seventeen coronavirus patients were detected among persons who had  returned to the country from Kuwait and are in quarantine now.

Of  them, 88 are those who had returned from Kuwait and are in quarantine  at the quarantine centres in Minneriya and Trincomalee. The other eight  are Navy personnel in quarantine.

By last evening, 484 persons were under medical care, according to the Epidemiology Unit. 

Sri Lanka reported its 10th death of Corona on Monday (25).  The deceased was a 51-year-old woman who had arrived here from Kuwait.  

According to the National Operation Centre for the  Prevention of Covid-19, another 37 persons who were in quarantine were  released yesterday after subjecting them to the PCR test. So far, 10,832  persons have completed their quarantine at the tri-forces run  quarantine centres.  

Another 4,612 persons are in quarantine at 41 tri-forces run quarantine centres.  

By yesterday, 625 Navy personnel had tested positive for  the Coronavirus and 325 of them had made a complete recovery and had  been released after undergoing the PCR test. Another 300 Navy personnel  are under treatment at various hospitals.
